The WIC Quarterly Meeting was held in Fellowship Hall. Approximately 21 women were in attendance.

Crystal opened with prayer followed by information about the Women's Fall Bible Study (all women's groups will be studying WIC materials on 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus) and WIC Vision for College Hill.

She reported about the annual WIC Love Offering and showed a DVD about where the money will be spent this year. We voted to send $1000.00 and have until the end of December to give donations.

Election of Officers for the WIC Leadership Council will be held in January.

Doing a fundraiser was put to the vote in which the "nays" carried. Doing pledges was suggested and passed.

Darlene Hoar gave the Treasurer's Report (see August 1st minutes). She explained where WIC money comes from and how donations can be made. When making a check, put WIC in the memo so Kay will deposit in WIC account. If writing a donation for the Love Gift write Love Gift-WIC in the memo.

Libbie Patterson reported about the Hospitality Committees. Sign-up sheets were available. The Hospitality Committees are responsibility for set up, clean up, and food for WIC Quarterly Meetings, Bridal Showers and Baby Showers. THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS CHURCH FELLOWSHIP EVENTS.

Discussion of Baby Showers took place next. The policy now will be only church members will be sponsored by WIC.

Carra Hewitt passed out the current Church Fellowship Events Committees and noted if anyone would like to be part of one of the current six committees to please notify her. Thanksgiving and Christmas are in particular need.

Suzanne Johnson passed out the Bereavement Committee List.

Beth Paul gave a report about the recent trip to Bogota, Colombia. This trip was designed to get to know the missionaries with whom we'll be working and supporting. They are Rick and Pam Box, Joe and Becky Harrell, and soon Peter and Jenny Boling will be joining the team.

Peter and Jenny Boling have decided to make Oxford their home base and will be arriving later in September to continue raising support.
