WIC

We would like to extend an invitation to all women to join the Women In the Church (WIC) group here at College Hill Presbyterian. Ladies please provide WIC with your phone number if you don't have email so you can be contacted about WIC information. The stated purpose of the PCA's Women In the Church, approved by the first General Assembly, is: "The purpose of the Women In the Church is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world."

Our WIC ministry here, under the authority of the Session of the church, involves many aspects, including outreach to new members, compassion ministry, service projects, fellowship with one another, and prayer. We meet quarterly, or as needed, to pursue these goals. WIC provides monetary funds for many ministries throughout the year. your donations are greatly appreciated and will be wisely used! You may put your donation in the offering plate with WIC designated.

WIC has four regularly scheduled meetings each year. The first one for 2010 is February 6 at 10:00 am in the new church parlor. Our guest speaker will be Betty Morgan. Other quarterly meeting dates are June 5, Sept 11, and Dec 4.

WIC Monthly Breakfast

Starting in October there will be two opportunities for women to come together for fellowship and food on a regular, monthly basis: the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 am at Big bad Breakfast (located in the Mid-town Shopping Center on N. Lamar) and the first Monday of the month at 9:00 am at Big Bad Breakfast. This is open to everyone, especially our new members, visitors and college students. Go to either one or go to both!

Wedding Book

We are currently putting together a commemorative record book of all the weddings that have taken place at College Hill. If you were married at College Hill or know of someone who was, we would love to have that information and, if possible, a wedding picture or newspaper announcement to place in the College Hill Book of Weddings. This Book of Weddings is being displayed in the Parlor of the Education Building. Please contact Jean Still if you need further information. Thanks so much for helping us.
